What if You Snapped Those Fingers?

Every minute spent on tasks kept for sentiment is a minute away from things more important.

In my domain of testing, I see test case libraries grow bigger by time. It happens until designing, maintenance and running is all we know. Room for exploration and new ideas runs out.

What would happen if you made that Thanos-like move and with a snap of your fingers made half of the tests dissappear?

What would happen if you did what Marie Kondo suggested and discarded every task that had outlived it’s purpose?

Yes, there are always arguments about the risks involved.

Brain is biased to spot problems instead of possibilities.

That’s why we need thought experiments like this.

So, I invite you to ask and think. What if you did the snap?
