Value proposition of software testing has moved.
It used to be that we testers made a promise to assure the quality of a product before shipping. We promised to be the gatekeepers at the edge of a release.

When Apple shared the iOS 11 release, they updated it three times in mere weeks. No new features. But fixes in functionality and security.
The cycle of fixing and shipping grows ever faster. So where is the classic value proposition of testing now?
We aren’t the dowstream floodgate to filter out problems anymore. Today we are the ultimate copilot and the roadie for the team of developer stars.
My job now is to help developers succeed faster and to learn while doing it.
