All of it is awesome. Until it isn’t anymore. I mean the things we disguise as learning.
Looking for advice. Asking questions. Reading books and papers. Attending courses.
I get asked the same kind of questions over and over. It doesn’t matter if we’re talking about software testing, entrepreneurship or writing.
- What tools do you use?
- Which process would you recommend?
- What should we do next?
The answers do not matter. Most of the time these questions are a form of procrastination. Procrastination disguised in the shroud of learning.
Of course the option to keep on procrastinating seems valid. It might feel safe to simply emulate what others have already done before us.
However, to start making a real difference, we would need awareness. To be able see our own piece of work for what it really is.
To see the impact of our art in others. And keen senses to adapt it match the environment we are here to serve.
But first. In order to do all that, we need real results.
So stop asking and start doing.
Get sh*t done.
