How to Hack Your Luck?
He was an almost-ordinary soap salesman. William Wrigley Jr. had a curious trait that made him different from all other soap-sellers.
Even when his career as a salesman was at the worst, people loved the gum he freely gave to his clients. William found it interesting, so he started to experiment accordingly.
Now, if you’ve ever seen Wrigley’s gum at the store, you know that the rest is history.
Did you know that Samsung started out as a simple grocery store too? It’s easy to believe that the remarkable success stories of the world have all had the secret sauce to make miracles happen; that the story is somehow a result of luck or a grand plan.
The truth tends to be much simpler. It’s just like Steve Jobs said in his famous Standford commencement speech. Getting lost and accidentally stumbling into a calligraphy class seemed to make no sense at the time. Later, it turned out to be the seed of a significant idea and again, the rest is history.
You can not connect the dots beforehand. It’s only by looking back, that it all makes sense.
Curiosity and daring to act on it are the real rocket fuel for luck.
…What should you dare today?
